Shadow Tactics: Blades of the Shogun now has a PS5 version — and it's a free upgrade if you already own the game on PS4.
It's been a long time since this strategy title made any headlines, so here's a quick refresher: Shadow Tactics first launched for Sony's last-gen system in 2017, and it was met with seriously strong reviews from both critics and players.
It was so highly rated that many will argue, to this day, that it deserved way more attention than it ever got. Here's hoping that this new edition brings in some additional interest.
Our very own 9/10 Shadow Tactics review from years ago reads: "A welcome return to a type of stealth-strategy that hasn’t been seen on PlayStation for many a moon. The period setting forms a great backdrop for the action, missions are steeped in atmosphere, and the central characters are just plain cool."
Anyway, this PS5 version promises enhanced performance — 60 frames-per-second at 4K resolution — and much improved load times.
